"Hacking" is an old English equestrian word for a horseback ride that's just for fun — no hunting or racing — and the jacket they invented for it is pretty great. Nice but not too formal, with slanted pockets and a short, nipped waist that doesn't bunch up when you're seated. Ours is made in a beautiful English wool tweed, and actual horseback riding aside, is really nice for leisurely activities where you'd like to feel a little more put together.
