Butcher Jacket Orchid Canvas
Somewhere between a chore coat and a blazer, the Butcher might be the easiest jacket we make. This one's made from Italian canvas with a touch of stretch and garment dyed to give the color a lived-in, variegated quality with subtle highs and lows along the seams. It's unlined and unstructured, with a natural shoulder and pickstitched spalla camicia shirtsleeve construction. The pockets on the front are special, too: we designed them so that you can tuck in the flaps (without looking like you just tucked in the flaps) for a more open look. There are even reinforced elbow patches to really drive the “casual” thing home. The fit of the Butcher is easy, with a touch more room in the body than our tailored jackets. And while it looks great with a polo or sneakers, you can also dress it up like a true blazer.

What do all the numbers mean?
We organize our tailored clothing into different levels of makes, similar to the way some German automakers have different series of cars.
Our sportiest, most casual make — unconstructed, with no canvas at all. The knockaround.
Our “easy” make, refined yet relaxed, with a lightweight, single-layer canvas. The basic.
Our “house” make and the one that started it all, with a structured, 3-layer canvas. The workhorse.
Our sarto make, with more handwork and a more natural, lightweight-yet-dense 2-layer canvas. The upgrade.
True sarto, with the same canvas as the No. 4, but completely handmade. The top of the line.
